The third pay-per-view of 2021 is just one week away, and the early look on this one has it lining up to be one of the most important, and historically epic UFC events in the history of the promotion. To say that this card is stacked is an absolute understatement. This card is beyond stacked.

Whenever you have a UFC card that sees guys like Askar Askarov, Joseph Benavidez, Drew Dober and Islam Makachev lined up to fight on the prelims, you know you are in for one hell of a treat.

The event is headlined by one of the most unique fights in UFC history, as the current UFC Middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya takes on the current Light-Heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz, in a fight that will see Adesanya stepping up as the challenger for the UFC 205lbs strap. Adesanya comes in on the UFC Odds board as the strong -270 favorite, with Blachowicz at +225 on the come-back.

Adesanya won his undisputed title back in 2019 after defeating Robert Whittaker by T/KO. The ‘Last Style Bender’ went on to defend the gold twice in 2020, with a controversially ‘boring’ performance against Yoel Romero, only to follow that up with a flawless victory ‘inside the distance’ whooping of the, at the time, undefeated, Paulo Costa.

The UFC 259 event is also featuring two title bouts in the Men’s Bantamweight, and Women’s Featherweight, as Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling square off in a highly anticipated match-up, while Amanda Nunes returns to the octagon to defend her featherweight gold against Megan Anderson, the UFC odds see Nunes as a heavy -900 favorite, with Anderson lined as a heavy long shot at +850. It is truly set up to be one of the most epic nights in UFC and MMA history, and we’ll be here to cover the entire lead-up to the big event.
