The Panthers were beaten twice in 3 days at home by the Canes. They lost first-line winger Anthony Duclair to a lower-body injury and replaced him with Frank Vatrano. Aleksander Barkov has been strong as always, and Carter Verhaeghe is playing well beside him. Jonathan Huberdeau is on his way to another strong season, and Patric Hornqvist has been excellent. Alexander Wennberg has been average as the 2nd line center, and I’m not sure if he is good enough to be a top 6 forward. This team has very little depth, and I don’t trust their defensive corp and would prefer Dreidger between the pipes, but I’ll tell you what this team can do – beat the Nashville Predators.

The Predators are less than the sum of their parts, and now they are dealing with injuries and covid issues. First and most importantly, they have lost defensemen Ryan Ellis to an upper-body injury. Mikael Granlund has moved up to center the first line. 2016 1st round pick 15th overall by the Wild Luke Kunin is dealing with a lower-body injury and will be unavailable for 2-4 weeks. Fade the Predators and get paid in full.
