BYU vs Boise State Pick – College Football Week 10: This week, the Cougars face their toughest test of the season to date with a trip to take on the Boise State Broncos, who have now moved inside both top 25 teams after beginning the year unranked. The contest opened as a pick ‘em at some shops, but has settled in with BYU laying 3 at Bet365 where the total is 59½.

Kalani Sitake’s Cougars have been kicking butt and taking names all season, and this could turn out to be their only chance to take down a ranked team. Zach Wilson has been behind one of the country’s most efficient and consistent offenses, BYU ranking top 10 in total yards (527.7) and scoring (44.4). The offense, as usual, gets the headlines, but the defense has been sneaky good with top 10 status in the same columns.
Bryan Harsin’s team may have played five fewer games, but the Broncos have definitely shown up on offense in their two wins. Most remarkable about it all is Boise State has done it with two quarterbacks already. Hank Bachmeier had a nice showing in the opening victory at home over Utah State, but did not travel with the team last week to Air Force. Jack Sears, a grad transfer from USC, stepped right in and kept the Broncos’ quick-strike offense going in the 49-30 win over the Falcons.

The Smurf Turf at Albertsons Stadium in Boise is where FS1 will point their cameras for the 9:45 p.m. (ET). There’s a 50% chance of rain with temps in the 40s for the contest, and both sides have some injury concerns. Brigham Young could be without three key members of its defense – LB Keenen Pili (undisclosed), DE Tyler Batty (lower leg), and CB Shamon Willis (back). Bachmeier is once again questionable to be under center for the Broncos, as is Demitri Washington (knee) who is doubtful, while safety JL Skinner (undisclosed) is questionable. All of those defensive injuries have me going with an ‘over’ play for my free NCAAF pick.
