Blues vs Golden Knights Pick: Thursday January 28th: The Blues are coming off a 5-4 shoot-out victory over these Knights on Tuesday night. They did that despite being outshot 46-25. I simply do not see them pulling that off a second time in a row. Jordan Kyrou is playing excellent. He has created a situation where 2017 1st round pick Robert Thomas can disappoint, and it won’t hurt them too badly. The Blues are having trouble keeping the puck out of their cage, and it will eventually catch up to them.
Meanwhile, The Golden Knights suffered their first home loss of the season under strange circumstances. An unnamed Golden Knight coach tested positive for Covid so the whole coaching staff is being quarantined. General Manager Kelly McCrimmon coached, and they called up the AHL staff to help. I think this team will play very hard for the man who’s signing their cheques. Robin Lehner had an off night, and I think they take care of business and bounce back after suffering that disappointing loss. The Knights are playing Chandler Stephenson 20 minutes a game in big situations and that does surprise me. He has 23 goals in 216 games. I do not expect this team to lose back to back games even without their regular coaching staff behind the bench.
